Mercy offers eight Advanced Placement courses which are all formally authorized and approved by the College Board.

They include:
American Government & Politics: United States
Biology
Calculus AB
Calculus BC
English Language & Composition
English Literature & Composition
Spanish Language & Composition
United States History

In Advanced Placement courses, students are taught curriculum at a college level in preparation for the national Advanced Placement exams in May of each year. Students may receive college credit upon passing the exams. Also, Advanced Placement exam grades help students gain admission to colleges and receive academic scholarships.
